Raise your hands if you’re as obsessed with hummus as me! I love hummus and it can be used for lots of different things and you can flavour it however you like so I thought I would share my basic hummus recipe for you all. This is so simple and easy and also tahini free so suitable for those with a sesame allergy. I hope you enjoy and let me know if you try it out in the comments below.
1 400g Can of Chickpeas
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Begin by rinsing your chickpeas until the water runs clear and the bubbles disappear. Add half of your chickpeas to your blender and zest your lemon into the chickpeas. Next, add the lemon juice by cutting the lemon in half and squeezing whilst holding one hand underneath to catch any seeds or pulp. Add your seasoning and begin to blitz. Slowly add olive oil until you get your desired texture. Add the rest of the chickpeas and blitz again until smooth. That’s it! That’s how simple and easy it is!
Have a wonderful week and hope it is filled with all the hummus you desire. Speak to you soon!
